Dear Spanglisherz,
I hope you’re having a peaceful day/evening/night wherever you are in the world.
One of the questions I get the most from students and followers is: How can I improve fast without spending hours and getting bored?
If you feel stuck, you’re not alone. I feel it too with my Spanish (hello, B1 plateau!). Here are two simple steps to make progress without the overwhelm:
- Do one thing at a time. Don’t stack reading + writing + listening + speaking in one sitting. Pick one focus. For example: today, listen to one full podcast episode with no subtitles; tomorrow, do 10 minutes of the shadowing technique. Small wins stack up.
- Practice just 10 minutes every day. Only ten! Instead of doomscrolling, spend 10 minutes chatting with ChatGPT or the LingoPanda app—or a friend you enjoy practicing with. Consistency beats intensity.
That’s it! I hope these bite-size tips help you on your learning journey.
If you have other tips, share them by replying to this email or in the comments below the vlog.
With love,
Taz
